Wildlife Trips, Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia

My Mother and Brother came to visit me this month for their first holiday in Sabah, Borneo.  After flying over 14 hours to get to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo from the UK we wanted to help them experience some of the stunning wildlife and rainforests of, Sabah, Borneo.

We drove from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan and took them to a few of our favourite wildlife and rainforest trips – Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary and Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, Kinabalu Park and Sandakan Rainforest Discovery Centre.

They had never seen such a wide range of apes, or wildlife, in the wild before – Orang Utans, Proboscis Monkeys, Long Tailed Macaques, Pig Tailed Macaques, Leaf Monkey – and enjoyed each of the wildlife trips they went on. They also saw Hornbills, a wide range of endemic orchids and walked through beautiful rainforest landscapes.

We fed Leaf Monkey’s at Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary and then watched two groups of Proboscis Monkey’s (a bachelor group and a family group) come in for the late afternoon feeding session. We saw a baby Orang Utan feeding with it’s mother at Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary – so cute :-) . These are really magical wildlife trip experiences that they would never have dreamed they would have. I think they’ll be back

We are able to arrange these, and additional, wildlife and rainforest trips for our scuba diving customers too. So if you want to see the best of Borneo under water and above water, just get in touch with the Borneo Dream team. Contact details for the Borneo Dream team are below:

Hi, we are a family of five coming from different locations and are interested in a tailor made holiday to Borneo. Three will be coming from New Zealand (I can probably organise the air if I know where to fly them to) and two will be coming from Shanghai (again, I can organise the air) Two are already certified divers and want to do as much as possible. Two would like to do their Padi Open water dive course on the holiday and I want to snorkel. We all want to go to the Orangatan Sanctury and the Monkey sanctury.
The dates we are looking at now are leaving China/New Zealand 29th August 2009 and leaving Borneo on 6.9.09. Can you give this some thought and contact me at the above email address?
