Borneo Dream runs snorkeling day trips to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP) on a regular basis. We will take you on a snorkeling day trip visiting pretty shallow coral reefs, in protected snorkeling areas, around some of the idyllic Islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park – Sapi, Mamutik and Manukan. The Islands near Kota Kinabalu have beautiful beaches with shallow waters and are surrounded by colourful coral reefs. Expect to see Nemo, a variety of coral reef fish and a Turtle if you are lucky!
The weather, and sea state, had been good for a couple of weeks before their diving trip to KK, Sabah. This meant that the visibility was excellent at many of the coral reefs we took them diving at. We also had blue skies and sunshine over the weekend and showed the Pulau Sapi and Pulau Mamutik islands during the lunch break surface interval. A perfect combination!
The teachers had a great time scuba diving with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and are already thinking about how they can fit diving in with us during a future school holiday. I’m sure we’ll see them again very soon.
Edgell Patches has two separate large coral reefs. The reefs are 10m – 25m in depth and full of beautiful hard corals, sponges, soft corals and Anemones. They are large enough to offer a different dive each time you visit this dive site.

When I sent details of what I wanted to do during my planned holiday in Sabah, Borneo along with my budget to Borneo Dream and to another agency, the other one came straight back and said it was impossible without doubling the budget unless I wanted to stay in really run-down places and go on pretty unsafe trips.

Joanne from Borneo Dream, on the other hand, came back with a range of suggestions and extremely helpful comments. Email responses were almost immediate, and everything from booking our holiday to payment ran extremely efficiently.
In Sabah, Borneo itself, there wasn’t any sign of anything run down or unsafe on any of the trips / hotels Joanne booked for us! Instead, we had an absolutely fantastic 8 days there, cramming in more than we had thought possible. When we needed a bit of logistical help (e.g. when I had forgotten to print off the itinerary and needed to know pick-up times and places) Joanne was again instantly available and went out of her way to help us out.
