Juvenile Nurse Sharks

Borneo Dream took a dive trip to Mayne Rock, KK, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia yesterday.

After a relaxed two hour transfer on Borneo Dream 3 we arrived at our scuba diving destination. Straight away we knew we were going to enjoy some great scuba diving at Mayne Rock as the visibility was the best we had seen here at around 20 metres. There was a bit of a current so we dropped our shot line in the best position on each dive site to give the most enjoyable scuba diving during this dive trip.

Cuttle Fish

We had our first dive around the large white / pale grey boulders that rise from 15m – 7m and create a unique underwater scuba diving landscape for dive trips from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia.The second dive was along the coral reef that runs West – East off the tip of one of the series of underwater boulders.

Crocodile Flathead

The fish life was in abundance – Fusiliers darted through the rocks, Bat Fish enjoyed having a close look at the scuba divers, Damsel Fish used Table Coral for protection and a Crocodile Flathead camouflaged itself amongst the coral pinnacles. We also spotted six juvenile Nurse Sharks – we spot juvenile sharks every time we take a dive trip and go scuba diving at Mayne Rock. We also saw Blue Spotted Rays, Cuttle Fish and Lobsters.
