Borneo Dream has had some really good dives during dive trips to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia this week.
We have had some good scuba diving friends, Maggie & Andy, diving with us all week so we wanted to show them the best dive sites during their dive trips to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP), KK, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia. We took them scuba diving coral reefs off Pulau Gaya, Sapi, Manukan and Sulug.
The weather has been pretty good for us – very warm and sunny with little wind most of the time – ideal for scuba diving. We’ve had good visibility with the best visibility scuba diving Pulau Manukan with visibility of around 20 metres. There has also, as is normal with TARP, little or no current – perfect for some relaxed leisure diving.
Andy & Maggie are both keen underwater photographers so we have ensured, while guiding them on dives that we point out lots of interesting marine life to them. We have seen numerous species of Nudibranches, Flatworms, Stone Fish, Cuttle Fish, Octopus, Lion Fish, File Fish, Green Turtle, Blue Spotted Rays and lots more.
Joanne, one of our PADI Divemasters, also took some photos during some of the dives. Have a look at her photos to get an idea of the beautiful scuba diving accessible from KK, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia.
We have Dive Trips to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP) every week. Our catamaran departs at 9:30am and brings you back, after three dives, for around 4:30pm. If you’d like to join us on a scuba diving trip from KK, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia then contact the Borneo Dream team.

We recently returned from a diving trip with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu. This was our first time in Malaysia and we really loved it. Borneo Dream are an excellent company to do your diving with and they have put a lot of work into finding good, safe dive sites for their customers. They have a really stable, comfortable boat which has plenty of room and Billy and Jo are first class skippers. All their kit is in excellent order and they attach the highest priority to dive safety and ensuring that their customers enjoy fantastic diving. The owners of the company are also your dive crew and they will do everything they can to ensure you have a great time, whether under the water or seeing some of the other sights that Borneo has to offer. They arranged for us to go and see the Orangutans at Rasa Ria, go white water rafting with River Bug on the Padas River and to take a trip to Sipadan. We had 5 days of outstanding diving at Sipadan, and for
convenience it is well worth staying on the rig. We took up their offer to use Paul Russell for a days transport when we went to Rasa Ria, and this was well worth the money. He collected us early from the hotel so we could take a bush walk and see the Orangutans at Rasa Ria. He also took us on a drive up Mount Kinabalu, to as far as you were able to drive and we got to see a lot of the area while we were with him. I can recommend the Jesselton Hotel as a base to stay at as it is very comfortable, the staff are very helpful and it is quick and easy to walk to anywhere within the town from there. But, a taxi is very cheap anyway. I would definitely highly recommend the whole Borneo Dream Experience.
