New Dive Site, Scuba Diving Day Trip, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, Borneo
Borneo Dream is continually on the look out for new, good quality dive sites to take our customers too.
We have already found many wonderful dive sites at TARP Marine Park, Pulau Tiga, Mayne Rock and Usukan Bay. A couple of weeks ago we found a stunning stretch of soft coral gardens between 7m – 18m along the West coast of Pulau Gaya, TARP Marine Park, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Today we went back again and took Michael Bech and Alyas Ling there after they had completed their PADI diving courses.
Michael and Billy, a Borneo Dream PADI Instructor, took some photos of the stunning coral gardens. The colours and variety of soft corals and sponges is really beautiful and amazing for TARP Marine Park. We have previously only dived sites with this quality of soft corals at Pulau Tiga and the Usukan Bay Wrecks.
Enjoy more photos of this new dive site. Or even better, come and dive it with Borneo Dream!

Lucy and I had a wonderful time with Ron and Billy of Borneo dream. The sites are wonderful, and totally uncrowded. It is also a delight to dive with very experienced intelligent professional instructors. It may be that the senior management positions they each once held areresponsible for the skill and professionalism of their approach.
On our first day, Lucy was nervous, having completed her OW six months before and done only four dives. The transformation was amazing; Billy held her hand underwater on day one. On day three, Lucy borrowed Ron’s compass and led Ron and I over the reef. Lucy completed Nitrox and AOW while we had fantastic experiences. My own air consumption decreased dramatically, by over 40%, thanks to Billy’s skill in weighting.
I would not underrate the input of Jo and Bev either, but Ron and Billy are outstanding, and I am a very demanding critical chap.
I have dived in Malta, Gozo, Sharm, Hurghada and the Carribean. This place was the best.
