Coral Pinnacles
Scuba Diving Trip to Pulau Tiga with Borneo Dream, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Borneo Dream ran a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga, Sabah over the Christmas period. We departed early from Kota Kinabalu at 7:30am for our boat transfer to Pulau Tiga – the sky was clear, the sea was calm and we had a group of eager divers on board all ready to experience the stunning coral reefs at Tiga.
To Pulau Tiga!
On board our catamaran (Borneo Dream 3) we had Florence, Roger, Melissa, David and Amr who were accompanied by their Dive guide Ron and Jo and skipper Billy.
We arrived at our first dive site on the South side of Pulau Tiga, Sabah at 9:30am. By 10am we were all in the water starting our first dive of the day on ‘The Pinnacle’ dive site.
We had a good Westerly current on our first dive with visibility of up to 10m (not the best vis for scuba diving at Pulau Tiga but enough to still enjoy the plentiful marine life). Pulau Tiga Dive Trip with Borneo Dream, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia
Borneo Dream ran a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga in Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia yesterday. We picked up our customers from Jesselton Point, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah at 7:30am and set off on our 2 hour boat transfer onboard Borneo Dream 3.
Diving Round Coral Pinnacles
The scuba diving and dive trip conditions were good – sunshine, little wind, good visibility at 15m and surface current but little current once you were on the coral reefs. Perfect for a scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga, Sabah, Borneo!
We arrived at Pulau Tiga at 9:30am ready for the scuba diving to commence! We went scuba diving at two dive sites – the Pinnacle and Barracuda Point. During both dives the fish life was in abundance and we saw a good variety of marine life – Cuttle Fish, Lobsters, Blue Spotted Rays, Barracuda, Yellow Snapper, Fusiliers, Bat Fish, Glass Fish, tiny cleaner shrimps and lots more.

Dive Pristine Reefs at Pulau Tiga
Scuba Diving Trips, Dive Trip, Pulau Tiga, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia
Borneo Dream ran a scuba diving trip, dive trip, to Pulau Tiga last week from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia. We dived the Pinnacle and Whip Coral Garden near Pulau Tiga – both are great scuba diving sites.
Schooling Barracuda
We had good visibility at 15m – 20m with a slight current, so we did some drift diving during the scuba dive trip to Pulau Tiga. The coral gardens and pinnacles were stunning and marine life amazing. We had a large shoal of barracudas circling us on the second dive and spotted Cuttle Fish, Nudibranches, Blue Spotted rays, Barramundi and fish life galore.
The weather was beautiful – blue skies, no wind – and all the scuba diving customers enjoyed a great scuba diving trip to Pulau Tiga. I think a few of them will dive with Borneo Dream again 
.

“I have just got back from a two week holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. I booked my whole holiday with Borneo Dream – staying at the Pacific Sutera Resort and ten days diving with them. I had a fantastic time.
Blue Spotted Ray
I went diving at all of the diving destinations they offer – TARP Marine Park, Pulau Tiga, Mayne Rock and the Usukan Bay Wrecks. They go to pristine dive sites, with often no other divers there.
Cuttle Fish
You have an early start for the longer distance dive sites, which Lucy didn’t always like, but you can’t get to the further sites otherwise and they are definitely worth the journey for the wonderful diving once you get there.
Borneo Dream have GREAT People, great equipment, very professional. They also helped Lucy to become a confident diver.
There is also lots to do in Sabah if you don’t want to dive.
I will definitely use Borneo Dream again and will recommend that others use them too.”
