Ready to dive!
PADI Open Water Diver Course – Learn to Dive with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Congratulations to Gareth Reece who has just become a certified PADI Open Water Diver with Borneo Dream. Welcome to the wonderful underwater world!
Gareth was on holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with his girlfriend Alice. Alice is a certified BSAC Sports Diver so Gareth decided it was about time he learned to dive so they could dive together.

Starting a Dive
Gareth completed his PADI Open Water Diver course in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park which is home to > 20 dive sites and easy diving along shallow pretty coral reefs. Gareth took to diving like a fish and during his ocean dives saw Turtles, Eagle Rays (3 on one dive!), Ghost Pipefish, Nudibranches, Barracuda and lots more. What an introduction to scuba diving!

Enjoying a dive
Alice decided to enjoy three days of leisure diving whilst Gareth learned to dive. She joined our Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park 3 dive trip which meant they were both on the same boat – our catamaran Borneo Dream 3 – and dived some of the same dive sites together. We wish them many happy dives ahead as buddy’s
