PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Congratulations to Damien who has just completed his PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course with Borneo Dream during his holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia.
Ready to Dive!
Damien started is holiday by learning to dive with Borneo Dream, along with two friends. He enjoyed himself so much that he decided to take his PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course during the same holiday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
He chose to complete the following PADI specialities – Fish Identification, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Naturalist – alongside his Deep and Navigation dives. His PADI Instructor, Billy, helped him to further enhance his navigation and buoyancy skills helping turn Damien into a more skilled Diver.

Hawksbill Turtle
Scuba Diving from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with Borneo Dream
Borneo Dream ran some scuba diving day trips to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, near Kota Kinabalu, Sabah this week. We enjoyed some great diving during the week.
Anemone Fish
My favorite dive was yesterday morning at Edgell Patches, off the West facing side of Pulau Sapi. We dived between 12m – 18m and saw juvenile Barracuda, Nudibranches, Porcelain Crabs, darting Fusiliers a juvenile Hawksbill Turtle, various species of Anemone Fish and a Porcupine Fish hiding in a Barrel Sponge.
During our second dive yesterday, off sloping East Reef of Pulau Sulug, we spotted a banded sea snake which carried on searching for food in crevices in the reef whilst it was filmed by one of the divers in our group. We also spotted two Blue Spotted Rays, several banded Pipefish and a very busy cleaning station. A couple of the divers got a manicure from some very friendly Cleaner Shrimp. Cool! Learning to Dive!
Learning to Dive with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Congratulation to Macy, Pam Pam, Xiang Wei, Nick and Amanda who have all just completed their PADI Open Water Diver course with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu!
PADI Open Water Diver Course
They learned to dive in the tropical waters of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP). They dived several of the dive sites in TARP including Sapi House Reef, Manukan West Reef, Edgell Patches and Mamutik West Reef.
They saw Turtles, Cuttle Fish, Blue Spotted Rays and lots of fish life during the course. The visibility was very good at around 20m on some dives, the sun shined and the wind was calm – fantastic weather for learning to dive.
We even had time for them to have a go on our 3 seater canoe and go snorkeling during surface intervals – a real action packed 3 days

Diving Group Trips with Borneo Dream
Scuba Diving Package, Dive Trips, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia
Sunny Cove Dive Operator in Singapore arranged a scuba diving weekend trip to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah with Borneo Dream. The group arrived last weekend and enjoyed three days of diving before having to fly back to Singapore.
Scuba Diving in TARP, KK
Martin, Tee, Steven, Xu Bin and Ben dived a range of the many dive sites Borneo Dream has identified in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP), near Kota Kinabalu. They dived coral reefs near all the five islands in TARP marine park – Pulau Sapi, Pulau Gaya, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Sulug and Pulau Mamutik.
We also took them diving on a new coral reef we found on our last day (using the fish finder on our catamaran) – and found large shoals of Yellow Snapper, Lion Fish, Porcupine Fish, Blue Spotted Rays, Fusiliers, Surgeon Fish.
